The tube is manufactured out of 100% carbon fiber material (No fiberglass).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe dual air filters are surrounded by an open-element XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) polymer housing that minimizes warm engine air for maximum performance. It is precisely designed and manufactured to fit perfectly into the factory mounting location. The housing connects to the factory air inlets on each side of the vehicle to capture the coolest air available. Silicone below couplings is used for engine movement and easy installation. All the factory harnesses and mounts are transferred to the back of the aFe POWER housing for a factory-like installation. The radio antenna plastic melded on the factory air box is also transferred to the aFe POWER housing.
